I decorated my own mason jar at a community event at school and I got a free pet goldfish (comet). It was swimming erratically since the moment I arrived at my apartment and ten minutes later I found it sitting at the bottom. It’s fins were clamped down. They still are even after I…
:) Thanks for the input, but you are four months too late.
Anyways, I had switched the fish to the biggest bowl I had at the time because I realized what -you concisely described- was happening. I would change the water every few hours and it managed to survive for three days. The people who were in charge of the event realized their mistake hours after owners posted on the community page that their fish had died within minutes after arriving home. From what I recall, they had bought 50 fish for the event and mine was one of the last to survive. To remind you, this was at a university housing event and we had no access to ponds or filtration systems, or transportation to a pet shop.
If you defend Aztlan you are a settler colonialist and you are just like white people at Coachella.
By defending Aztlan, you perpetuate the erasure of Native American cultures and history. But for the rest of the people who don’t support the idea, you need to recognize that by living in the United States you are a settler as well because you benefit from their removal. Wherever you go to school, work, or live, all that land belonged to the respective tribes.
